This weekend kicks off my first Bridesmaid Dress Shopping experience.  When I got married in 2006, I had a really clear idea of the dresses that my girls were going to be wearing.  This time around my best friend, Amy, isn’t really sure of the direction she wants to go in.  I spent a little time yesterday researching options.  Here are a few of my personal favorites:

As soon as I saw this one I had a Rachel Zoe moment: “I die” I love this dress!!!

I will report back next week with our findings! I am really hoping that we can find the third dress!  I might just buy it even if Amy doesn’t select it for us ladies!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  I am finally getting back into the swing of things. For those of you who don’t know, I have been out of the office for over a week with the flu and spent a lot of time resting.  I did try to keep up with as many emails and phone messages as I could and I will be back in the office Tuesday picking up where I left off.

In other exciting news, I created a badge for facebook (whatever that is!)  Be sure to add me to your facebook page to keep up with all of the latest news at Amanda Kraft Photography!

We often think that the timing of a wedding day must go exactly as planned and that being late or having to make an unexpected stop will add stress to an already busy day.  At my last wedding, we made an unexpected stop following Sarah and Mark’s ceremony.  Sarah’s, Aunt Vae was unable to attend the ceremony and instead of rushing over to the reception venue we stopped by her house.  Granted, her home was only a few minutes from the church, but the stop is one that I will never forgot.  Watching Aunt Vae light up seeing Sarah and Mark, was priceless. I know that our quick change of plans met the world not only to Aunt Vae, but to Sarah and Mark as well!

Moments like this pass us by everyday and sometimes stopping just for a minute is more important than attending the entire cocktail hour.  If you need to make a quick stop or last minute change of plans, do it!  The rest of the day can be adjusted!

Have a wonderful weekend!  I will be out of the office until Tuesday, for a little birthday celebration weekend.

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Mark’s wedding.  They were so fantastic and since I hadn’t met them prior to the wedding day, I was so excited to hear a ton of giggles as soon as I got off the elevator at Hotel Hershey. I knew it was going to be a great day!

The relationship between Sarah and Mark is so magical.  I loved watching them interact with each other.  The little kiss that Mark would give Sarah on forehead was so precious.  During the toasts, I captured a moment of Sarah reaching over for Mark’s hand, and then gave him a gentle kiss on the back of his hand.  Those are the tiny moments I love to capture. Another moment during the toasts, Sarah, stood next to Mark and I all could do it just wait out the moment for Mark to look up at Sarah just beaming ear to ear.

Thank you both for allowing me to be apart of your day!

If the rest of the year goes as well as their wedding day, we are in for a fabulous wedding season!
