As I am getting running around like a crazy girl between shoots and packing for our annual family beach vacation I realized that I have been blogging for 6 years!  6 years! Are you kidding me?  If you know me well enough, you know that I enjoy change.  I enjoy changes of seasons, hair colors, nail polish colors, I even like moving.  So, I am really surprised at myself for blogging as long as I have.  What a lot of people don’t realize is that blogging is a love/hate relationship at times.  While I love showing off photographs from recent shoots, the time invested in pulling the photos, putting together the story that goes along is really time consuming.  I often start a post and then delete what I have written and start all over again. (point in case.. I have started typing this post at least three times)

I remember the day that I decided to start blogging perfectly.   We were at the beach and I was on DIAL-UP sitting in the kitchen creating an account with typepad.  Patrick had come into the kitchen and asked what I was doing and I responded with “I am creating a blog for the business” His reply “Why?” I didn’t have a good answer, I just went on my marry way and created my own little part of the internet.  I am pretty sure he still doesn’t get my need for a blog, but I don’t care.
So in honor of year 6, I thought the blog could use a little facelift.  I selected a design that feels much more editorial to me.  The new layout will go perfectly with the new website that I *promise* will be launching soon!
Here I am, 6 years later a ton of posts and a heck of a lot of images!  Thanks for being a supporter, follower, commenter and reader!
Have a great week!

Things have been so super crazy over the past few weeks.  Between amazing weddings and a ton of senior sessions, summer is flying right by.  As sad as I am to see summer winding down, I am looking forward to a little change in the temperatures, back to school fall fashions and should I say.. football!

The August calendar is jammed packed with senior sessions!  I am so excited and can not wait to start sharing photographs from the amazing sessions I have been having.  There are one or two dates open for a session. If you are interested give me a call ASAP to get on the calendar!  The SALE is still going and will continue through the start of the school year!!

The 2011 wedding calendar is almost filled as well.  With half of our dates booked, April and June are fully booked and only one date is left for May and July.

This shoot was so special for me as I was photographing my wonderful brother in law and his amazing fiance, Scarlett.  I had been so excited for the shoot with them for weeks. In fact, I wish we would have had more time while we on vacation earlier this summer to do their photos, but it just didn’t work out.  So, we decided to schedule their photos in the middle of a heat wave instead.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure how the shoot was going to play out with Brad and Patrick (my husband) being there together.  I was sure the two brothers would be goofing off and not paying attention leaving Scarlett and I completely annoyed.  Lucky, for us.. everyone behaved themselves and we came away with so many amazing images! I am blown away by them!

Brad and Scarlett, I love you both and am so happy that you found each other.  I can not wait until your wedding next fall!

Since, I wasn’t the primary photographer at the wedding, I didn’t want to post images from the event.  If you want to see more photos you have to check out Ruth’s blog, but I did want to sneak in one photo from the event.  I love how this photo makes me feel.
