I was so excited to finally photograph Rachel and Alan’s Fourth of July wedding at the stunning Cairnwood. I had met with Rachel and her mother forever ago and at that time Cairnwood was a venue I had never worked at. Since our meeting I had photographed at Cairnwood twice and each wedding has been so unique and different. Each couple had put their own twist on the theme and decor of the grounds and tent.
Rachel and Alan had been highschool sweethearts and seeing them interact with each other was so sweet. Their ceremony took place out between the trees to the side of the formal gardens at Cairnwood. Guests enjoyed the grounds and main foyer for cocktail hour while we took Rachel and Alan around the grounds for a few photos.
Dinner was served under the tent and guests enjoyed a variation of Alan’s grandmothers mozzarella, tomato and vinaigrette salad followed by filet mignon and flounder stuffed with crab meat. Rachel and Alan along with their guests moved to the library for dancing. During the cake cutting Rachel’s uncle serenaded the couple.
Standing in a misty rain guests lined the driveway of the estate to send Rachel and Alan off in style in a vintage Rolls Royce.
